Accessibility Statement

NorthWynde is committed to making our online store usable and welcoming for everyone, including shoppers using assistive technology.

What we're working toward

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines are the widely accepted standard for making web content accessible to people with visual, hearing, cognitive and motor disabilities.

Accessibility is ongoing rather than a box we check once. As we add products, pages and features, we review them against the same standard.

What we've done

Steps we've taken across the store include:

  • Alternative text on product and content images
  • Text and background colors chosen for legible contrast
  • Keyboard navigation through menus, forms and checkout
  • Clearly labeled form fields and buttons
  • Headings structured in a logical order for screen readers
  • Layouts that adapt to zoom and to smaller screens

Where we fall short

Parts of the store rely on third party tools and content we don't fully control, including payment processing, embedded social media, and reviews. We can't guarantee those meet the same standard, though we choose partners with accessibility in mind where we have the choice.

If you find something on our site that's difficult or impossible to use, we want to hear about it. That feedback is the fastest way we find and fix problems.

Trouble with something?

If any part of this site is a barrier, email us with the page and what happened, and we'll help you complete your order directly while we work on a fix. You should never miss out on a piece because our site got in the way.

Tell us what to fix

Include the page address and a short description of the problem. We aim to respond within three business days.
